The Status of School Climate In The First Cycle Stages of Basic Education In Al Hassaka City From Teachers' Perspectives

Abstract

 

This research aimed to know the status of school climate in the first cycle stages of basic education in Al Hassaka city from the perspectives of teachers. The population of the research consisted of (2390) and the sample of the study was (360) teachers. The research tool was the questionnaire which consisted of (40) items and (4) domains:(management-human relationships –students-schools).The most important results were: There were no statistically significant differences  in all the domains between the average scores of male teachers  and the  average scores of female teachers on the identification of climate schools. There were statistically significant differences  in all the domains between the average scores of  teachers  on the identification of climate schools in favour of the teachers with university degree and who have experience(11 years and more).

In light of the research results ,the following suggestions were offered: - Holding training courses to the teachers about the school climate.

  • Doing lots of research related to the topic of the research and in the all stages of schools,
  • Providing educational services which are suitable for students.
  • Working on the strengthening of communication between the school and the community.
