Abstract

The study aimed to analyze the impact of organizational citizenship behaviors available to workers at Damascus University on job alienation.

The descriptive approach was relied on, the study population included (1196) employees at the University of Damascus, and the questionnaire was used as a tool for data collection.

An electronic questionnaire was distributed to a random sample consisting of (310) questionnaires, (7) questionnaires were excluded, (303) questionnaires were retrieved, and they were analyzed statistically using the SPSS statistical program, multiple linear regression test, and one sample t-test.

The study found that the dimensions of organizational citizenship behaviors (altruism, courtesy and kindness, sportsmanship, awareness of conscience, civilized behavior) are available for workers at the University of Damascus, in addition to the existence of an inverse effect with a significant significance for some organizational citizenship behaviors (politeness and kindness) on the phenomenon of job alienation for workers. in the University of Damascus, and the existence of a positive effect with a significant significance of (altruism,, awareness of conscience) on the phenomenon of job alienation for workers at the University of Damascus.

The study recommended several recommendations, the most prominent of which was the need to promote and support organizational citizenship behaviors in order to reduce and overcome the phenomenon of job alienation.
