Abstract

Art therapy is a modern concept in academic studies, and this research proposes to define therapeutic art experiences as defined in art therapy philosophies and medical applications, from the viewpoint of the treating artist, and since the effect of color in many cases exceeded the psychological effect to the physiological effect, the discovering of  the effect of colored light on the vital human has a tremendous impact on the development of art therapy concepts and techniques, and due to the increasing number of researchers and art therapists, many medical professionals have realized that art can play an important role in psychological and physical therapy.

The research adopted the descriptive and analytical approach by describing and analyzing the color dimension and the psychological and physiological effects of colors, to reach an understanding of its therapeutic properties and the way it affects human health.
