The degree to which nursery teachers possess modern information and communication technology skills in Damascus

Abstract

 The aim of this research is to know the degree to which nursery teachers possess information technology skills, and to achieve the goal of the study, the researcher prepared a questionnaire consisting of two parts: the first section included personal data, and the second section consisted of (30) items divided into three sections: computer skills, Internet skills, and skills of using electronic devices, and the questionnaire was applied to a sample of (71) female teachers during the first semester of the academic year 2020-2021.

   The results of the research showed that the availability of computer skills to a moderate degree, while the skills of using the Internet and skills of using electronic devices were available to a smaller degree, according to the correction key adopted in the research.

The results of the research did not show that there are statistically significant differences between the average scores of the sample members regarding the assessment of the degree of their possession of information technology skills due to the variable of academic qualification or teaching experience.
