The degree of kindergarten teachers’ employment of life skills in kindergarten activities in light of the contemporary requirements of the “Corona pandemic

Abstract

The aim of the current research is to identify degree to which kinder garten teachers employ life skills in kindergarten activities in light of the contemporary requirements of the "Corona pandemic" and to identify the differences in the degree of kindergarten teachers' employment of life skills in kindergarten activities according to the research variables (scientific qualification, years of experience,  training courses).

The researcher used the descriptive approach, the sample consisted of (80) kindergarten teachers in the government sector, applied to them the research tool, a questionnaire prepared by the researcher consists of (30) items.

The results of the research showed that the degree of employment of female teachers for life skills in kindergarten activities was high, while their employment grades varied in sub-fields where the field of health skills ranked first, and with regard to research variables the results indicated significant differences in favour of female teachers with greater experience and no differences depending on the scientific qualification, while the results showed small differences between parameters depending on the training courses.

   In light of the results, the researcher suggested:

  • Holding training courses for kindergarten teachers in service to guide them on how to develop children's life skills.
  • Organizing special lectures and seminars for teachers to support their knowledge, which contributes to improving their performance in dealing with children.
