Abstract

The research aimed to know the attitudes of English language teachers in the second cycle of basic education towards the use of electronic tests in the evaluation process and the obstacles to their implementation according to gender, years of experience and academic qualification. To achieve this goal, the researcher built a questionnaire consisting of (24) items distributed on two main axes, where the sample size was (36) male and female teachers.

The results showed that there are significantly positive attitudes among the study sample towards the use of electronic tests in assessing learning, and the most important challenges and obstacles facing the application of electronic tests. The results of the research also showed that there were no statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.05) between the averages of the sample members' responses to the attitudes of English language teachers towards employing electronic tests in education due to the variables of gender, number of years of teaching experience, or academic qualification. The researcher also concluded a set of recommendations and proposals.
