The role of knowledge management in developing the general secondary school principals performance

Abstract

The aim of this research is to identify the level of knowledge management’s role in developing the performance of general secondary school principals in Damascus city, and to identify their administrative performance and its problems, through an opinion questionnaire consisting of /39/ phrases. The research sample consisted of /19/ managers, with a representative percentage of the original community amounting to 24.35%/. The research was applied during the academic year (2020-2021).

And the most important results which the research reached to are:

- The level of the reality of administrative performance was at an average level, and the level of administrative performance problems was average level.

- The level of the role of knowledge management in developing the performance of secondary school principals, was moderately high.

 -There are no statistically significant differences between the average level of administrative performance reality, according to the variable of the type of manager, while there are statistically significant differences, according to the variable number of experience years, in favor of a sample of /11/years or more.
