Study the differences in the personality traits scale of a sample of ordinary and outstanding students

Abstract

The aim of the current research is to study the differences in the personality traits scale according to several variables (gender, category, educational level of one of the parents) among a sample of ordinary and outstanding students registered in Damascus governorate schools for the academic year 2020-2021, their number reached (300) male and female students (140) Of males and (160) females, and the researcher used a scale prepared by her, consisting of (36) items, and the research reached the following results:

- There is a statistically significant difference between the students ’grades on the total score of the scale and the three aspects according to the category variable (outstanding, normal)

- There is a statistically significant difference in favor of the female group in the social aspect and the total score of the scale, while the results indicated that there were no differences between males and females in the creative mental aspect, and the results also indicated that there were no statistically significant differences between males and females on the emotional side.

- There are no statistically significant differences between the outstanding students on the total score .
