Affirmative behavior and its relationship to life satisfaction For a sample of students from the Faculty of Education at the Damascus University

Abstract

The aim of the current research is to know the level of both affirmative behavior and life satisfaction, and to know the relationship between affirmative behavior and life satisfaction among a sample of students of the Faculty of Education at the University of Damascus. The researcher relied on the descriptive and analytical method, and the research sample consisted of (200) male and female students. The Affirmative Behavior Scale prepared by Muhammad Mohan (2011) and the Life Satisfaction Scale prepared by Majdi Muhammad Al-Desouki (1998) were used. The research concluded the following results:

  1. There is a statistically significant correlation between the scores of the individuals of the research sample on the stress behavior scale and their scores on the scale of life satisfaction.
  2. There are no statistically significant differences between the average scores of the research sample on the assertive behavior scale according to the gender variable.
  3. There are no statistically significant differences between the average scores of the research sample on the assertive behavior scale according to the academic year variable.
  4. There are no statistically significant differences between the average scores of the research sample on the scale of life satisfaction according to the gender variable.
  5. There are no statistically significant differences between the average scores of the research sample on the scale of satisfaction with life according to the variable of the school year.
