The response of grief and its relationship to psychological hardness among a sample of women missing husbands (widows) in the governorate of Damascus

Abstract
The aim of the research is to identify the relationship between grief response and psychological hardness among a sample of women who missing their husbands (widows) in psychological support centers in the governorate of Damascus. And the detection of differences in each of the response of grief according to the variable of age, and educational level, and the researcher relied on the descriptive analytical approach, and the research sample was (102) widowed women. To achieve the objectives of the research, the researcher used the Extended Grief Inventory 2001 by C. M. And Mustafa measure (2016) of psychological hardness among widows, and the research reached the following results:
The level of response to grief in total for widowed women reached (3.47), which is a high level, and the level of psychological hardness in total for widowed women reached (1.80), which is a medium level, according to the correction key adopted in the research. There is an inverse correlation between grief response and psychological hardness among widowed women members of the research sample, and there are statistically significant differences in the average answers of widowed women members of the research sample on the grief response scale according to the age variable in favor of widows aged (31-40), and according to the educational level variable For the benefit of widows with an elementary level of education and below. There are no statistically significant differences in the average answers of widowed women of the research sample on the psychological hardness scale according to the age variable, and there are statistically significant differences for the educational level variable in favor of widows with university education level.
