The current research objective is to identify the degree to which kindergarten teachers employ the principles of active learning in preschool activities from their point of view.
The search has answered the following questions and hypotheses:
- What is the degree to which kindergarten teachers employ the principles of active learning in Kindergarten activities from their point of view?
- There was no statistically significant difference between the average responses of kindergarten teachers with regard to their degree of employment of the principles of active learning in kindergarten activities according to scientific qualification.
- There was no statistically significant difference between the average responses of kindergarten teachers in terms of their degree of employment of the principles of active learning in Kindergarten activities according to the number of years of experience.
- There was no statistically significant difference between the average responses of kindergarten teachers with regard to their degree of employment of the principles of active learning in Kindergarten activities according to the number of training courses.
In order to answer the research question and hypotheses, the researcher used the analytical descriptive method. The research sample consisted of (80) kindergarten teachers who applied the research tool. This questionnaire is a questionnaire prepared by the researcher to survey the views of the kindergarten teachers on the degree of employment of the principles of active learning in Kindergarten activities.
The results of the study showed the use of the parameters of the research sample for the principles of active learning in kindergarten activities to a high degree. Their employment levels varied between high, medium and low according to their responses to the questionnaire. As for the research variables, the results indicated that there were no statistically significant differences according to the scientific qualification. The results showed statistically significant differences in favor of the most experienced teachers, while the results indicated that there were small differences between the parameters according to the training courses followed.
In the light of the results, the research reached a number of proposals, the most important of which are:
- Increasing attention to the institutions of kindergarten teachers so that they have the knowledge and competence in the use of modern methods and strategies, including active learning.
- Providing in-service training courses for kindergarten teachers to instruct them on how to use active learning with children and the need for continuous follow-up by educators on how they apply active learning strategies.
- Organizing special lectures and seminars for teachers to support their information regarding the kindergarten stage, which contributes to improving their performance in dealing with children especially since most of them are not educationally qualified and have insufficient experience in this field.
