The Degree to which Directors and Heads of Departments Practice the Dimensions of Relational Leadership A survey field research on workers in the central administration at the University of Damascus

The research aimed to identify the degree to which managers and heads of departments practice the dimensions of relational leadership from the point of view of employees in the central administration, and to identify the significance of the differences in the degree of practicing relational leadership according to the variables (years of service, academic qualification, and gender). The research followed the descriptive analytical approach, and relied on the questionnaire as a tool for collecting data and information. The research sample consisted of (256) male and female workers. The research reached the following results:
- The practice of the dimensions of relational leadership by the directors and heads of departments in the central administration at Damascus University was to a large extent, with an arithmetic mean of (3.9) and a standard deviation of (1.47(.
- There were no statistically significant differences between the average response scores of the research sample members regarding the degree of practicing the dimensions of relational leadership by the directors and heads of departments in the central administration at Damascus University, attributed to the variables (years of service, and academic qualification), and the existence of differences according to the gender variable in favor of males.
