The training needs of graduate students in the Department of Arabic Language Education from their perspective

This study aims to is to identify the training needs (teaching skills, language skills, scientific research skills, academic empowerment skills and personality skills) of graduate students in the Department of Arabic Language Education at the Higher Institute of Languages, University of Damascus, from their point of view. Define their preferred method of training (directory, distance, mixed).
Follow the descriptive curriculum, and the identification applied the research tool of 30 training needs in May 2024. The research sample was 41 students.
The results showed that the need for training in (scientific research skills) came with a high -first place - average rank calculation (3.31), followed by the need for training in (academic empowerment skills) with an average score, average rank calculation (2.92). Followed by the need for training in (teaching skills) at an average level, with an average rank calculation (2.85). Followed by the need for training in (personal skills) at an average level, with an average rank calculation (2.57). Finally the need to train in (language skills) at an average level, with an average rank calculation (2.21).
It also indicated that (46.34%) of postgraduate students prefer the (directory) method of training, while (29.27%) prefer the (mixed) method, and (24.39%) prefer the (remote) method of training.
