Cultural Safety and its Relationship to some Variables Among Cultural Minority Students at Kuwait University: An Anthropological-Educational Study

This study aimed to determine the level of feeling cultural safety among minority students at the College of Education, Kuwait University, from the sides of professors and colleagues. The descriptive correlational approach was used, and the instrument was applied to a sample of (131) male and female students from cultural minorities (Arab & non-Arab) during the first semester of the academic year (2023/2024) using the available sample method. Using appropriate statistical methods, the results showed a moderate feeling level of cultural safety among cultural minority students general, with a moderate level on the professors’ axis, and a low level on the colleagues’ axis. The results also indicated that there is a strong positive correlation between the level of feeling cultural safety and students’ academic GPAs, and that there is a statistically significant difference in favor of male students and Arab students in the feeling level of cultural safety. The results were discussed considering the social and cultural context of Kuwaiti society, and several recommendations were presented based on the results reached.
