A Comparative Study of Homeschooling at the Francophone Level between France and Quebec and the Possibility of Benefiting from it in the Syrian Arab Republic

This research aimed to identify the reality of homeschooling as an alternative educational trend at the Francophone level in both France and Quebec in order to benefit from this trend in the Syrian Arab Republic. To achieve this, the reported research relied on a comparative approach, where a theoretical basis for homeschooling was presented, then a description of the reality of homeschooling at the Francophone level in both France and Quebec, starting from the beginning through to the current situation. Thereafter, a comparative analysis of homeschooling in both France and Quebec was presented, and finally proposals were suggested for the application of homeschooling in Syria in the light of the results of this comparative study. Among the most important results of this research were: the interest of France and Quebec in homeschooling and adopting this trend as an alternative educational direction, as both of them put the laws and regulations that every family must be committed to it when choosing homeschooling for its children, which are: identifying the age of the beginning and end of homeschooling, the reasons for choosing it, and finally the steps for registration in the homeschooling and how this system will be subjected to monitoring, supervision and evaluation, in addition to clarifying the types of support and assistance provided to these children, and the research ended with suggested proposals for the application of homeschooling in Syria.
