Self-disclosure and its relationship to the level of ambition of a sample of third-grade secondary students in public schools in Damascus governorate

Abstract

The aim of the research is to know the degree of self-disclosure and the level of ambition of a sample of third-grade secondary school students in Damascus official schools. And you know. And measuring the relationship between self-disclosure and the level of ambition. And the detection of differences in the responses of the members of the research sample on the scale of self-disclosure and the scale of ambition according to the two research variables: (gender, educational level of parents). The researcher relied on the descriptive and analytical approach, and the research sample consisted of (500) students in the third grade of secondary school, and the researcher applied the ambition scale and the self-disclosure scale, and the research concluded the following results:

  1. The presence of an average estimate of the level of self-disclosure of the third-grade secondary students (members of the research sample) in the public secondary schools.
  2. The level of ambition of third-grade secondary students in public secondary schools (members of the research sample) was of medium degree.
  3. There are no statistically significant differences between the average scores of the research sample on the scale of self-disclosure and the scale of ambition according to the gender variable.
  4. There are statistically significant differences between the degrees of the research sample on the scale of self-disclosure and on the scale of ambition according to the educational level variable of the parents in favor of students whose parents possess a high level of academic qualification (university degree or higher).
