Abstract

This study aimed to identify the level of work pressures in Sama satellite channel as a model for Syrian TV channels from the point of view of the media professionals, and the level of influence of each dimension in it. To achieve the goal of the study, the descriptive analytical method was relied upon. A questionnaire was designed and distributed to a sample of media professionals in the channel, consisting of 77 items.

The study reached a set of results, the most important of which are the following:

There are statistically significant differences in the evaluation of media workers in Sama TV channel for the level of work stress in their organization according to its dimensions (workload, role ambiguity, role conflict, work environment, work relations, organizational structure), according to demographic variables. Taken in the study (sex - department - number of years of work).

The evaluation of media workers tends to be stressful at a high level in all its dimensions, except for the dimension of the work environment, when it is evaluated at a medium level.

The study recommended paying attention to the level of work stress and its impact on media professionals, and conducting other advanced research in its relationship with their performance and profession.
