Application of change management and its relationship to achieving leadership from the perspective of academic administrators at Damascus University

The research aimed to identify the level of leadership and the degree of application of change management in the faculties of Damascus University from the point of view of academic administrators working there. And to study the nature of the correlation between them. And to measure the differences between the average answers of the research sample members according to the research variables: (academic rank, years of experience). The researcher relied on the descriptive analytical approach, and applied the change management questionnaire, and the leadership questionnaire. The research sample consisted of (64) heads of academic departments at Damascus University. Among the most important results reached by the research: The existence of a positive correlation with statistical significance between the degree of application of change management and the level of leadership among academic administrators working in the faculties of Damascus University. The existence of statistically significant differences between the average answers of the research sample members on the change management questionnaire according to the variable of academic rank and in favor of academic department heads whose academic rank is (university professor). The absence of statistically significant differences between the average answers of the research sample members on the change management questionnaire according to the variable of years of experience. There were no statistically significant differences between the average responses of the research sample members to the leadership questionnaire according to the variables of academic rank and number of years of experience.
