Abstract

This study aimed to work on activating the role of social worker in the school effectively, and to identify the role of counseling programs in helping students develop their problem- solving skills.

The importance of the study comes from the fact that it highlights a key point to support the educational process, which is activating the role of the social worker in the school .

The study relied on the scientific method (descriptive and analytical) to describe and analyze the phenomenon and the comprehensive social survey method with the case study method using the questionnaire tool. The study reached several results, the most important of which are:

There are obstacles that stand in the way of the social worker within the school that prevent him from performing his role effectively,

The role of the social worker in the school is not activated and remains limited to solving some problems by giving advice.

Social workers suffer from a lack of professional skills that support their abilities within the school.
