Humanity has overlooked the exploitation of the natural sources to put it in the service of humanity after being able to make machines that are capable of converting energy extracted from natural sources into other forms. The energy is then used to carry out various actions. It then became possible to consider the per capita energy consumption as one of the most important indicators of progress in Countries and their development.
Thermal machines have played an important role in the economic development of countries. Due to the rapid development of these engines, the number of these engines increased significantly as well as their negative impact on the environment. Studies and scientific research centers have tended to find other solutions that can reduce pollutants from these engines into the surrounding air, including economic studies and the possibility of using gaseous fuels of various kinds.
This research deals with fuels, components, features and properties of gaseous fuel. In the practical part three cars in good technical condition were tested that work on gasoline and gas fuel LPG.
An Automotive Gas Analyzer was used as a measuring instrument capable of measuring the CO / CO2 / NOx / HC / O2 ratio.
The positive results that were obtained in terms of the values of harmful emissions to the environment proved the advantages of using LPG in terms of safety, and high efficiency when burning and the cheapness of this type of fuel are factors that motivate further research in this field.
