Abstract

The research aims to identify the difficulties faced by student teachers in the Third Faculty of Education at the University of Damascus (third year class teacher, fourth year class teacher, educational qualification diploma, class teacher) in using educational techniques during the application of practical education sessions from their perspectives, and identifying the differences in their opinions. According to the variables of gender and academic qualification (class teacher, educational qualification diploma). The descriptive approach was used through a questionnaire, the number of which was (40) items. The sample consisted of (140) male and female students, including (53) third-year teacher students, (60) fourth-year teacher students, and (27) class-teacher diploma students for the academic year (2021-2022). The results of the research showed the existence of difficulties of a medium degree, and administrative difficulties came in the first place, followed by the difficulties related to the supervisors in the second place, then the difficulties related to the curriculum in the third place, and finally the difficulties related to the students and teachers themselves. The results also indicated that there was no statistically significant difference between the average scores of the students’ answers to the questionnaire due to the gender variable, while it was found that there was a statistically significant difference between their mean scores according to the academic qualification variable (class teacher, diploma) in favor of the sample of students from the specialty of a teacher Row.
