A Study of Health Behavior in Both Parts (Health Awareness and Sports Activity) for a Sample of Students of the Faculty of Education at the University of Damascus

The research aims to study health behavior in terms of the percentage of health awareness and the impact of sports activity on a sample of students of the College of Education, Department of Psychological Counseling at Damascus University, Daraa Branch, in addition to knowing the differences between the study sample in terms of the variables "school year, age, gender and financial status".
The sample consisted of (263) male and female students distributed according to the studied variables, and after testing the hypotheses, the results showed that the students’ attitude was positive and their health level increased according to the school years, and the differences were statistically significant in relation to the age variable when studying the measure of sports activity, and the students’ attitude was neutral.
It also showed that there were statistically significant differences for females towards the measure of sports activitycompared with males, while the males' attitude was positive with respect to the measure of health awareness, and no statistically significant differences were observed with respect to the variable of physical status, in addition to the correlation of the health awareness scale.
