A Study of the Relationship between family violence against children and school violence among seventh & eighth grade pupils in Schools of Darra city

Abstract

This research aimed to study the relationship between family violence against children and school violence among seventh & eighth grade pupils in schools of  Darra city according to some variables. This study used a descriptive analytic method. The intended sample was (410) pupils from seventh & eighth grade pupils in Darra city. Violence Scale (VS) was built in this study according to methodic steps which are used in a scale structure. The results showed the followings: The distribution was normal, The most type of violence is physical violence then symbolic then verbal. The most  violent  person  with the child was the brother then the father. There was a positive relationship between family violence against children and school violence among pupils (0.70**). There was no relationship between family violence against children and economic status. There was a positive relationship between family violence against children and numbers of children in the family (0.12*).There was no relationship between family violence against children and children order. There was no difference in the family violence between males and females. There was no difference in the school violence among pupils between seventh & eighth grade pupils.
