The aim of the research is to measure the effect of activities based on sociodrama (social drama) in developing the reading readiness skills of kindergarten children.
The research was conducted on a sample of children in Riyadh, numbering (40) boys and girls, who were deliberately chosen from two kindergartens (Doha Al-Saghir and Al-Zohoor Special), the control group chose from the Doha Al-Saghir Kindergarten, and the number of children in it was (20) boys and girls, while the experimental group chose from Al-Zohour Kindergarten and the number of children in it (20) boys and girls.
The research tools consisted of a list of reading readiness skills for the kindergarten child, a test of readiness for reading skills, and the design of educational activities and experiences according to sociodrama (social drama). For reading in favor of children’s scores in the post application of the test, the results also indicated that there is a statistically significant difference between the mean scores of children in the control and experimental groups in the direct post application to test reading readiness skills for the children of the experimental group, and this indicates the effect of educational activities based on sociodrama (social drama). ) in developing the reading readiness skills of kindergarten children.
