Psychological security and its relationship to decision-making among asample of first secondary grade's students

Abstract

The current research aims to know the nature of the correlation between psychological security and decision-making. In addition to knowing the differences according to the variables of sex and academic specialization. To achieve these goals, the psychological security scale prepared by Al-Jagan (2015) and the decision-making scale prepared by Al-Mulhem (2014) was used, and the research sample consisted of (140) students from the tenth grade students in the city of As-Suwayda. The results showed the following:

- There is a positive and statistically significant correlation between the degrees of psychological security and the degrees of deliberation, and there is a negative and statistically significant correlation between the degrees of psychological security and the degrees of the two dimensions of haste and hesitation among the members of the research sample.

- There are no statistically significant differences between the degrees of each of the psychological security and decision-making among the members of the research sample due to the gender variable.

- There are no statistically significant differences between the degrees of each of the psychological security and decision-making among the members of the research sample due to the variable of academic specialization (scientific / literary).
