The ethical criteria in the administrative tasks from the managers' point of view -A field study on a sample of managers in AL-Quneitera Governorate-

Abstract

This research aimed at recognizing how much the ethical criteria are applied in the managers' job from their point of view and recognizing the differences in degrees of the availability of the ethical criteria for the task of administration according to the research variables: gender , academic certificate , years of experience and the type of the institution(educational, service).The research was applied on a sample of 83 managers representing 32% of the original. For this purpose, the researcher used a questionnaire of 74 items  distributed into 4 criteria. The first one is the occupational performance.The second one is its relationship with workers and employees. The third one is its relationship with the local society. The fourth one  is its relation with the colleagues.

The research concluded the following results:

1-There were differences in the answers for the manager's ethical criteria in favour of females.

2-There were differences in the criteria of the relationship with the workers in favor of the service organization and the relationship with the local community. However, there were no differences in the criteria of the relationship with colleagues  and occupational performance.

3-There were differences in the years of experience, the occupational performance and the relationship with the colleagues and the local community, whereas there was  no difference in the relationship with the colleagues in favour of those who  had  a 10-year experience.

4-There was  a difference in favour of those  who had  a doctorate degree in the criteria of the  relationship with the colleagues, workers and the local community and there was  no difference in the occupational criteria.

5-The criteria of the relationship with the workers got the highest percentage of 91% for how much the ethical criteria were applied, then came the occupational one of 78%, the colleagues one of 25% and finally the relationship with the local community of 22%.
