The level of students' acquisition of basic concepts in special education " A field study on special education students in the fourth year at the Faculty of Education at Damascus University"

Abstract

This study aimed to reveal the level of acquisition of special education students in the Faculty of Education at Damascus University for the basic concepts of special education, and to reveal the level of their acquisition of basic concepts in special education according to the field of study. A questionnaire for basic concepts in special education was designed to achieve the aims of the study. The study sample reached (30) students (12 males, 18 females). The study reached the following results:

1-The level of acquisition of special education students in the Faculty of Education at Damascus University of the basic concepts in special education was high on the overall degree of the questionnaire.

  • The level of acquisition of special education students in the Faculty of Education at Damascus University of basic concepts in special education according to the field of study was high in the following fields according to the following order: (learning difficulties, general terms in special education, hearing disability, mobility disability, speech and language disorders, visual disability, mental disability), and it was average in the fields of autism and superiority.
