Abstract

The research aimed to identify the levels of cultural intelligence, irrational thoughts, and psychological stress; as well as to investigate the nature of the relationship among cultural intelligence, irrational thoughts, and psychological stress among a sample of students residing at the university housing in Tishreen University. The applied scales were: The Cultural Intelligence Scale, prepared by Al-Khadour (2023), the Irrational Thoughts Scale prepared by Al-Rihani (1987), and the Psychological Stress Scale prepared by Haiba and others (2023). The sample consisted (494) male and female students. The concluded results were as follows: There is a moderate level of cultural intelligence, irrational thoughts, and psychological stress. In addition, there is a negative correlation between cultural intelligence and both irrational thoughts and psychological pressures. It has also been shown that irrational thoughts and psychological stress can be predicted from cultural intelligence.
