Effectiveness of an integrative counseling program to reduce Internet addiction among a sample of secondary students in Darra governorate
Abstract
This research aimed to investigation of effectiveness of an integrative counseling program to reduce Internet addiction among secondary students in Darra governorate. This study was done by a quasi-experimental method. The study sample was composed of 10 students, 5 of whom represented an experimental explorative group and 5 represented an experimental group. Internet Addiction Scale (IAS) previously prepared by researcher was adopted. The results showed the followings: Demonstrate the effectiveness of the integrative counseling program to reduce Internet addiction among secondary students, there is a significant difference between pre-test and post-test in favor of post-test, there is a significant difference between pre-test and follow up-test in favor of follow up-test, there is a significant difference between post-test and follow up-test in favor of follow up-test. This shows effectiveness of an integrative counseling program to reduce Internet addiction among students.
