University from their perspective

Abstract

The research aimed to identify the reality of digital empowerment of faculty members at Lattakia University from their point of view, and

to measure the statistical differences on the questionnaire according to the research variables: (gender, type of college, academic rank). This research relied on the descriptive analytical approach, and a questionnaire prepared by the researcher consisting of seven axes was applied in the research. The research sample included (223) faculty members working in the following colleges: (Education, Medicine, Pharmacy, Information Engineering, Civil Engineering, Arts and Humanities, Economics, Higher Institute of Languages) at Lattakia University. Among the most important results reached by the research: The reality of digital empowerment of faculty members at Lattakia University from their point of view at Damascus University was average in the total score of the questionnaire with a score of (3.28). There are no statistically significant differences between the average scores of the research sample members' answers to the digital empowerment questionnaire for faculty members at Lattakia University in the total score according to the gender variable. There are statistically significant differences according to the variable of college type in favour of applied colleges, and there are differences according to the variable of academic rank in favour of faculty members whose academic rank was (professor, assistant professor).
