The study aims to determine the extent to which the Islamic Education textbook for third secondary-grade students in the Syrian Arab Republic addresses Islamic jurisprudential concepts for the academic year 2024/2025. This will be achieved by answering the following questions:
- To what extent does the Islamic Education textbook for third secondary-grade students address the concepts of worship?
*- To what extent does the Islamic Education textbook for third secondary-grade students include concepts of transactions?
*- To what extent does the Islamic Education textbook for third secondary-grade students encompass concepts of the family system?
The researcher employed a questionnaire to investigate the jurisprudential concepts at this educational stage and grade from the perspective of Islamic Education teachers in the areas of worship, transactions, and the family system, excluding other areas due to the urgent need of students in these three domains. The validity of the questionnaire was confirmed by presenting it to a group of specialists from the faculty of Education and Sharia at Damascus University. Its reliability was measured by Cronbach's alpha, yielding a score of (0.906), and using the split-half method, it reached (0.910). Thus, the questionnaire demonstrates good reliability indicators suitable for the purposes of the research. The finalized questionnaire was administered to a sample of (25) teachers, and the results were analyzed statistically using means and percentages. The findings indicated that there are no statistically significant differences at the (0.05) level regarding the extent to which the Islamic Education textbook addresses the jurisprudential concepts in the three mentioned areas. The researcher recommended a reconsideration of the content of the Islamic Education textbook for third secondary-grade students so that the jurisprudential concepts are clearer, more expansive, and offer broader rulings, having a positive impact on students in real-life contexts, aligning with their level and stage.
