The secondary level mathematics test automation obstacles from the teachers point of view

Abstract

The research aimed to know the automation mathematics' obstacles at the secondary stage from the point of view of teachers in the directorate of education of Damascus, The research followed the descriptive research method with the usage of the questionnaire as a tool for the study after verifying its psychometric properties, and the research was applied to a purposive sample of 125 female and male teachers of the secondary schools in Damascus during the first semester of academic year  (2024 2025).

The results indicated that the degree of obstacles related to the student ranked first and with a high degree, followed by the degree of obstacles related to the mathematics teacher with a high degree, and finally the obstacles related to the content of curriculum of mathematics and its structure, which is also high.

On the other hand, there was statistically significant difference between the average scores of the research sample members on the questionnaire of automation mathematics' obstacles of following training related to the designing of automated tests, whereas there were no statistically significant differences between the average scores of the research sample members on the questionnaire of of automation mathematics' obstacles according to academic qualification and years of experience variables.
