Abstract

Syrian Islamic banks received acceptance from individuals in depositing their money according to the jurisprudential adaptation of those accounts. Deposits (investment, savings, and current) were a financial resource for Islamic banks to employ according to the investment methods available to them, which in turn guarantees safety and continuity for the bank, and achieves for the shareholders an increase in their wealth and financial soundness.

Therefore, the study aimed to demonstrate the role of the size of current accounts in enhancing the value of Syrian Islamic banks, and in order to achieve the objectives of the study, the descriptive approach was relied upon in the study of previous literature related to Islamic banks and deposits. The analytical approach was adopted according to the ARDL autoregressive model. by testing hypotheses and analyzing data derived from the annual reports of all Islamic banks listed on the Damascus securities Exchange during the period between (2011-2021). Based on the Eviews12 statistical program.

The study concluded that there is no statistically significant role for the size of current accounts in enhancing the value of Syrian Islamic banks.

Knowing that the volume of current accounts witnessed a significant increase in the Syrian Islamic banks during the study period.

The study recommended that the Syrian Islamic banks adopt more effective investment formulas aimed at the continuity and integrity of Islamic banks and increase the Value Bank.
