Distributed profits effect on the investment deposits increment in Islamic Banks

The broad aim of this study to identify the process of calculating and distributing profits in Islamic banks and to indicate the effect of the rate of return on investment on the volume of absolute investment accounts, through a comparative study of the Sham Bank and Syria International Islamic Bank for the period of 2011 to 2019, using the descriptive and analytical approach. Relying on E-Views. The study found the following results:
- Al-Sham and Syria International Islamic Bank followed the same policy in the process of distributing profits on investment accounts.
- With regard to Al Sham bank, there was a positive impact on the high annual rate of return on investment on the size of unrestricted investment accounts in relation to the Syrian pound, In comparison to investment accounts in relation to US dollar where there was a negative effect of the high annual rate of return on investment on the size of unrestricted investment accounts, and there was no significant impact on euro.
- The lack of a significant impact of the high annual investment return rate on the size of unrestricted investment accounts in relation to the Syrian pound, the US dollar and the euro with the Syria International Islamic Bank.
