Abstract

The Malaysian experience in the field of achieving sustainable development is considered one of the most prominent and successful global experiences, given that Malaysia was one of the countries that was the first to implement and develop a special model of sustainable development, based on strategic planning and self-reliance.

This research aims to study the Malaysian development model, by studying sustainable development in its theoretical framework, studying the main transformation drivers in development, then focusing on the policies and strategies that Malaysia has adopted since its independence, which have had a prominent role in shaping the future of Malaysia, and studying the reflection of these policies and programs. In reality, by tracking economic and social indicators, then identifying the most prominent challenges facing Malaysia in its development program after highlighting the factors for its success.
