Abstract

Tafsir Mahasin al-Ta'wil by Jamal Al-Din Al-Qasimi is one of the most important books of contemporary interpretation, because of the investigations it contains, important issues, and the benefits selected from the previous interpretations. in his interpretation of  the Qur'an Al-Qasimi paid attention to the reasons for  the revelation of  the verses, as  he began his interpretation by mentioning the rules  of  interpretation  that  the exegete needs to understand the meanings of  the Qur'an, and he singled out the fourth rule for talking about  the reasons for  revelation and  their importance in interpretation; However, the fondness of many interpreters for asking for the reasons for  revelation of  the verses, made the principal in the books of  interpretation find a conflict between the narrations of the reasons for  revelation among  themselves, or with others, so he is confused, he does not know which one depends as a reason for the revelation of  the verses; Those who addressed the interpretation of the Book of God  had to push this conflict  in order to find out the real reasons for the revelation of  the verses; which helps to interpret and understand the verses correctly. In his interpretation, Al-Qasimi took a method of dealing with narrations of the reasons for  revelation when they conflict with each other, and  one of  the foundations of  this approach was the Weighting between the narrations - if possible - to push the conflict, and this is what I will show it in this research, coupled with appropriate applied examples.
