The Impact Of The Context In Directing The Significance Of the Quranic Word

Abstract

There is no dispute that the word is the first unit in the building of any sentence that makes sense, and the first base of understanding of the other structures of speech is the understanding of the word in its original meaning, and its meaning in a context. This explains why scientists from the beginning of the second Hegira century to the present day have interested in the development of linguistic lexicons based up on different methods, and explain why some of them wrote single books  that fill theIslamic library about the meanings of the vocabulary of the Qur'an in particular, whether in books of vocabulary, as a book of vocabulary of the Koran words by AL-Ragheb Isfahani, and Omdat AL-Hoffaz  by  Samin Halabi ..etc,  or the faces and isotopes, such as AL-Wojoh Wa AL-Nazaer book by Al-Damaghani and Nozhat AL-Aayon AL-Nawazir  by Imam Ibn al-Jawzi, etc.

A single word in the Holy Quran  may be used in many ways, and the meanings of one word may arrive more than 20 meanings,  and the wanted meaning cannot be reached correctly  only with the aid of the Contexts which surround the word which could be verbal, current, or mental.

The interpreters were concerned in observing the Contexts which surround the Quranic word in order to understand the aim of God, through this methodology, they were able to identify the correct and suitable meaning of  the context of single word.

This research will examine the significant role of Contexts in directing the significance of the  Qur'an words, highlighting

the reliance of exegetes in this regard, this study is supported by with analytical models and applications.
