Family Support and Its Relationship to the Level of Psychological Immunity among a Sample of General Secondary Education Students in Damascus Governorate Schools

Abstract

The aim of the research was to identify the level of family support and the level of psychological immunity among a sample of students in the third year of general secondary school in Damascus governorate schools. This research also aimed at identifying  the relationship between family support and psychological immunity and the significance of the differences among the members of the research sample on the family support scale and the psychological support scale according to the two research variables: (gender, academic specialization). The researcher relied on the descriptive analytical approach and used  two research tools: ( family support scale, and  psychological immunity scale). The research sample included (710) male and female students from the third year of general secondary school in Damascus governorate schools. one of the most important findings of the research is the existence of a correlational relationship between family support and the level of psychological immunity among a sample of students in the third year of general secondary school in Damascus governorate schools, and the absence of significant statistical differences between the average scores of the answers of the research sample members on the family support scale and the psychological immunity scale according to the two variables: (sex, academic specialization).
