Abstract

The Arab civilization played an important role in the European renaissance. It can be said that the modern European Renaissance emerged as an extension of the Arab-Islamic renaissance. The Islamic civilization has several crossing points to Europe, the most important of which were Andalusia, Sicily and southern Italy, and the Crusades played an important role as a bridge to the transfer of Arab science to Europe.

Medicine and pharmacy were among the most prominent sciences that moved to the Western world through the Arab-Islamic civilization as well as other sciences such as astronomy, mathematics and chemistry. Many western Orientalists have recognized the authenticity of Islamic philosophy and its role. The Arab-Islamic philosophy has moved to Europe, influenced by its thinkers, particularly the Canadian and Ibn Sina, as well as the most famous Arab philosophers Ibn Rushd, who occupied a prominent position in Western Europe. His writings had no effect on any Arab philosopher another school appeared very strong Rushdie.

The Arab Islamic thought was the medium of the decade between ancient science and cultures and the European Renaissance. The Arab Islamic thought and the Arab-Islamic culture were a continuum, extending from ancient civilizations, from Egyptian, Assyrian, Babylonian, and Chinese, to the Greeks and Alexandria, To the Islamic era, whose scholars were influenced by their predecessors, and influenced in turn the right of European Renaissance scholars who read the work of Arab scholars in their books translated into Latin and European languages.
