Abstract

This article examines the differences and challenges associated with the use of standard and colloquial Persian in Persian-speaking societies. Within this framework, the impacts of both formal and informal language in various social, educational, cultural, and economic contexts are analyzed, and the role of each linguistic register in shaping and sustaining individual and social interactions is explored. Moreover, the study addresses the problems and challenges arising from the simultaneous or improper use of formal and colloquial language in specific contexts such as workplaces, media, and

everyday communication. It also analyzes the role of language in areas such as politics, macro-level social interactions, and public culture, highlighting its function as an effective tool in strengthening national identity, facilitating social communication, and expanding economic opportunities.

In conclusion, the study emphasizes the necessity of promoting a culture of appropriate use of both formal and colloquial Persian, and supporting linguistic research aimed at enhancing social interactions and reinforcing cultural identity. This research has been conducted using a descriptive-analytical method.
