is one of the expressive means and rhetorical devices used by the Arabs to enhance their speech, aiming to expand speech and exaggerate expression. Rhetoricians have devoted 1 considerable attention to it, devoting a chapter to the discipline of rhetoric. They defined it, subdivided its types, and sought examples of it in Arabic poetry. Examples of abstraction are found in numerous instances in the Prophetic hadith, demonstrating its contribution to communication and instruction in the prophetic discourse. Therefore, this research examined its occurrences, examining its arts and styles. It became
clear that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used one of its two types, pure abstraction, as opposed to impure abstraction, which is inconsistent with the essence of prophetic discourse. The research demonstrated its uses in the Prophetic hadith and its purposes, which included achieving the goal of communication and clarifying rulings on the one hand, and the goal of clarification and influence on the other hand.
