The congenital diaphragmatic hernia is a congenital malformation that is an important challenge in most centers of the world because of the high mortality rate in newborns and the attempt to find a common scientific approach to diagnosis and management before and after surgery to obtain better results and survival rate and lower complications.
This is what we will try to look for in our study on 96 cases of congenital diaphragmatic hernias between 2007 and 2011 who have surgical work in the University Children's Hospital in Damascus as the main center for dealing with such cases, and considering that the number of studied cases is of important statistical value compared to the number of cases in comparison in global studies .
