Steel slags are by-products in the steel production industry and can be used for different purposes ( industry, agriculture, engineering). This research aims to study the effect of using steel slag produced by the Syrian steel factories in concrete. Three concrete mixtures were prepared using steel slag from the Syrian Steel Factory located in Adra Industrial City as a partial and total replacement for coarse natural aggregates. The replacement percentages were as follows (0 - 50 - 100)%, The physical and mechanical properties of the three mixtures were studied, In addition to studying the physical properties and chemical composition of steel slag. The results showed that the use of steel slag in concrete improved the compressive strength and split tensile strength by 20% compared to the reference mixture, and the replacement ratio of 50% gave the best result, as the compressive strength was 34.06 Mpa and the split tensile strength was 3.13 Mpa.
