Abstract

Deconstruction architecture created a new architectural language to formulate distinctive designs, based on the technology revolution that provided the necessary means to create volumetric composition. On the other hand, the components in the structure secured the possibility of formal and spatial complexity, to generate deconstructive forms that opened new horizons in the architect’s thinking, starting from his philosophy and way of thinking, to deliver expressive messages in the designed buildings

In this research, the researcher will study and analyze international buildings whose architects were classified as pioneers of deconstructive architecture, in order to determine the structure that contributed to the actual formation. The researcher will also assess the local experience of the buildings that were classified as deconstructive, and identifying the obstacles that limited the spread of this type of construction locally.

The research followed an inductive analytical methodology for the selected studied cases, through which the most important characteristics of the structural elements used in the construction of deconstruction buildings were determined. Then it followed the methodology of collecting and analyzing information by conducting qualitative interviews, with the aim of studying and evaluating the deconstructive architecture locally and identifying the most important factors that limited its spread.
