Abstract

African art is considered the source of origin and cultural values, despite the confrontations and attempts to eradicate it from the world, it has remained solid and self-sustaining. Since African art has its own philosophy and significance, the research aims to shed light on the aesthetics of one of the methods used, as the research reviews some of the printmaking with storytelling approach of artist John Muafangejo and show the characteristics and artistic features of the art that he relied on through naïve visual suggestions, and his attempt to prove The ambiguous African identity, In addition to the relationship based on similarities and differences between him and the three African artists, namely: Paulos Mchunu, Albert Ndlovu, Caiphas Nxumalo in terms of dealing with the same topics, but with different points of view and concepts how the compositions was fragmented to serve the artist’s idea and vision, and ways of distributing linear rhythm and color contrast in the painting artistic.
