Abstract

The advent of conceptual art in the sixties of the last century had a great impact on the global plastic art including contemporary schools and movements, whether in terms of form, content, or  who created that  new (conceptual) artwork.

Thus, we cannot ignore the great problem into which both artists and critics have fallen when they pronounce their  judgments on some conceptual works depending on their traditional academic plastic thought, especially when they search for  the technique , style, content and  the incubating morphological form. Consequently, how will they judge the originality of this new (conceptual) artwork, whether it is true or not.

Starting from this point, this research has come to shed light on an important aspect of this art, which is the role of traditional sculpture in the conceptual art.
