The reality of the application of integrated activities in kindergarten as viewed by the teachers. A field study in Damascus city

Abstract

This research aims to know the reality of applying the integrated activities in kindergarten as assessed by the kindergarten teachers, and to know the difficulties of applying them according to the following variables: the teachers’ qualifications, years of experience, attended training courses, and kindergarten’s type (public/ privet). Therefore, a questionnaire consisted of (32) question was developed by the researcher then filled electronically by a sample of kindergarten teachers in Damascus in 2021. The research sample was consisted of (164) female kindergarten teachers chosen randomly at the rate of (19%) from private and public kindergartens in Damascus.

The results reached were as below:

  1. The reality of applying integrated activities in kindergartens was reported highly by the teachers.
  2. There were statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.05) between the mean scores of teachers on the questionnaire according to their qualifications in favor of the higher qualification.
  3. There were no statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.05) between mean scores of teachers on the questionnaire according to their years of experience and their attended training courses.
  4. There were statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.05) between mean scores of teachers on the questionnaire according to the kindergarten’s type in favor of privet kindergartens.
