Effect of Using Electronic Mind Maps on Students` Skills in Subject of Cloud Computing - An Experimental Study in The Faculty of Education at Hama University
Keywords:
Electronic Mind Maps, Cloud ComputingAbstract
The purpose of the study is to measure the effect of using electronic mind maps on acquiring Skills of using Cloud Computing for Students of the Diploma of Educational Qualification in The Faculty of Education at Hama University. For these purposes, the researcher designed two versions of electronic mind maps. The sample consisted of three groups. Control Group who learnt subject of using Cloud Computing by using traditional methods. The first experimental group learnt the same subject by using hierarchal mind maps (Tree mind maps), The second experimental group learnt the same subject by using non-hierarchal mind maps (multi-flow mind maps). The tests were administrated before and after the experience. Students` scores were entered into (SPSS), then the results were computed as the following:
There are statistically significant differences among the mean scores of the three groups in the post-application of the achievement test and practical test. The differences – related to achievement test- were in favor of the second experimental group students, whereas The differences – related to practical test- were in favor of the first experimental group students.
Many suggestions were introduced in light of the results; using electronic mind maps in all educational stages and in all courses.
