Abstract

The aim of the current research is to know the relationship between self-talk and Psychological Wellbeing among students, and to know the differences between the sexes, and the differences between first and fourth-year students in each of the variables of self-talk and psychological happiness. As for the research tools, the self-talk scale prepared by the researcher, and the Oxford Psychological Wellbeing Scale (translated by Abdel-Khalek) were used. The research sample consisted of 377 male and female students from the Faculty of Education at the University of Damascus. The results showed a direct relationship between self-talk and psychological wellbeing, and no differences were found due to the variables of sex and study year on the scale of self-talk and psychological wellbeing. The results were presented, discussed, and interpreted. the research resulted in a number of recommendations.
