The research aimed to know the degree classroom students of the faculty of education at Damascus University have the skills of reasoning and proof from their point of view and the obstacles to acquiring them,
The research followed the descriptive research method with the usage of the questionnaire as a tool for the study after verifying its psychometric properties, and the research was applied to a purposive sample of 234 male and female students of the class teacher at the Faculty of Education at Damascus University in the third and fourth years of the first semester of academic year (2024-2025).
The results indicated that the degree classroom students of the faculty of education in Damascus have the skills of reasoning and proof is medium from their point of view. On the other hand, the total degree of severity of obstacles is average, and there was also a statistically significant difference between the average scores of the members of the research sample on the identification of possessing the skills of proof and reasoning and obstacles to their acquisition according to the variable of the academic year, whereas there was no statistically significant difference between the average scores of the research sample members on the questionnaire of having proof and reasoning skills and obstacles to their acquisition according to the gender variable.
